WUBAF Demonstrates Unity and Solidarity at A Member’s Late Mother’s Funeral

The true strength of a foundation is reflected not only in its programs and achievements but also in its willingness to stand with its members during life’s most difficult moments.

Demonstrating this spirit of compassion and solidarity, members of the WONADEM UBA FOUNDATION (WUBAF) gathered on Saturday, 10 October 2026, to support Mr. McRobert Dogbey and his family during the funeral of his late mother at Agave Agorta (Nworlikope).

The church service commenced at approximately 9:45 a.m. While the service was ongoing, some members assisted the Catering Department with essential preparations. Following the conclusion of the service at approximately 12:10 p.m., members continued to assist by serving the bereaved family and other attendees, demonstrating a practical commitment to service and solidarity throughout the occasion.

After refreshments, members gathered for a brief interaction, during which a donation was presented to Mr. McRobert Dogbey on behalf of the Sogakope Zone and the Foundation. The gesture served as an expression of sympathy and support for the bereaved family during their period of mourning.

Following the presentation, the Foundation’s Public Relations Officer, Ms. Love Afanou, expressed appreciation on behalf of the Founder and the Executive Board to all members who made time to attend the funeral and support their fellow member and his family.

She also expressed concern about the low turnout from the host zone and encouraged members to participate more actively in future Foundation activities. She emphasized the importance of commitment and collective responsibility in sustaining the spirit of fellowship that WUBAF seeks to promote.

Looking ahead, Ms. Afanou highlighted the upcoming December Mega Outreach, urging members to support the initiative and contribute towards its success. She encouraged members to submit donated items early to allow sufficient time for planning and transportation ahead of the 2026/2027 outreach activities.

The Chief Adviser and Co-Founder, Mr. Nuseli Akpeleasi, also conveyed appreciation on behalf of the Executives and the Foundation, acknowledging the commitment and participation of members who attended the funeral.

A total of 24 members representing Ho, Central West, Accra, Sogakope and Aflao Zone participated in the funeral activities. Their presence demonstrated the collective commitment of members from different zones to stand with a fellow member and his family during a difficult time.

The day concluded with a group photograph before members departed at approximately 3:45 p.m. By 9:10 p.m., all participating members had reported their safe arrival, bringing the day’s activities to a close.

WUBAF’s participation in the funeral went beyond attendance. Through practical assistance, the presentation of a donation and their presence throughout the occasion, members demonstrated that the Foundation’s commitment to fellowship extends beyond organized programs and outreach activities. It is also about standing together in times of loss, offering comfort and ensuring that members and their families feel supported when it matters most.
