Wonadem UBA Foundation Stands in Love and Unity at Akuapem

On February 28, 2026, Wonadem UBA Foundation (WUBAF) once again demonstrated that we are more than an organization — we are family. Members of the Foundation traveled from different zones across Ghana to Akuapem in the Eastern Region to attend the funeral of a beloved mother of one of our cherished members.

The gathering was not only a moment of mourning, but also a powerful expression of love, care, comfort, unity, and restoring hope — values that define who we are as a Foundation.

A Journey of Solidarity

From the early hours of the day, WUBAF members began arriving in Akuapem, united in purpose and spirit. Despite the distance, our members made the journey to stand shoulder to shoulder with our bereaved member and family.

Our presence alone sent a clear message: no member of WUBAF stands alone in times of sorrow.

Catering Team: Serving with Compassion

The WUBAF Catering Team graciously supported the occasion by providing food and refreshment services. Their dedication ensured that guests were well catered for throughout the event.

This act of service went beyond hospitality — it was an embodiment of compassion in action. By feeding mourners and family members, WUBAF helped ease the burden on the grieving family, allowing them to focus on honoring their loved one.

Media Team: Preserving Memories with Dignity

Our Media Team was also present to respectfully capture meaningful moments of the occasion. Through photography and documentation, they preserved memories that will remain significant to the family and the Foundation.

Their work ensures that even in sorrow, moments of unity, culture, and solidarity are remembered with dignity.

Participation in Cultural Rites and Activities

True to our spirit of togetherness, WUBAF members actively participated in the funeral activities. From traditional rites to communal dancing and expressions of support, our members engaged fully in the program.

Funerals in Ghana are not only moments of grief but also cultural celebrations of life. By taking part in the dancing and other customary activities, WUBAF honored both the departed soul and the rich traditions of Akuapem.
